Biographie
I am a compassionate and dedicated psychotherapist who specializes in working with individuals and couples living with chronic illness and chronic pain. Through lived experience and study, I have developed a deep understanding of the complex interplay between physical health and psychological well-being. My approach is rooted in a biopsychosocial model, recognizing that chronic health conditions (including diabetes, autoimmunity, heart disease), not only affect the body but also deeply impact mental, emotional, and social aspects of a person’s life. I work collaboratively with my clients to address these multifaceted challenges, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs. I also work with couples to assist with relationship issues and concerns that may arise from coping with a long term illness. Central to my practice is assisting individuals in navigating the emotional journey of living with a chronic health condition. Whether it’s helping them come to terms with a new diagnosis, managing the psychological impact of ongoing symptoms, or coping with the stressors of treatment, I offer a safe and empathetic space for clients to explore their feelings and concerns. Through evidence-based therapeutic techniques and a person-centered approach, I help my clients develop coping strategies, build resilience, and enhance their overall quality of life.
