Biographie

As your therapist, I will always do my best to meet you where you are at and approach any work we do together through a lens of kindness and empathy. I recognize that the human experience can be hard at times (or perhaps, all the time), and my goal is to walk alongside you as you navigate the journey in a way that allows you to grow while being supported.

I work from a person-centred approach and recognize that you are the expert in your own life. Discovering what is important to you is a vital part of the therapeutic process, and I will always aim to honour your experiences and prioritize your goals.

I graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University (previously named Ryerson University) with both my BSW and MSW. Some of the approaches I draw from within my work are Self-Compassion and Radical Self-Love, Emotions-Focused, Narrative-Based and Counter-Storying, and Mindfulness. I can also draw on tools from both CBT and DBT, should they feel appropriate or beneficial. I deeply believe in the importance of trauma-informed work and harm-reduction approaches. Finally, I am committed to anti-oppressive practices within my work and appreciate that an intersectional lens is necessary to understand the uniqueness of all lived experiences.

I can help you navigate a variety of concerns, such as anxiety, depression, family or relationship issues, identity concerns, work or academic issues, as well as navigating difficult emotions such as stress, anger, or shame.
