Therapy can be a helpful tool in navigating the unexpected challenges and transitions that life throws at us. I believe in the unique strengths and capacity for growth that exists in each and every person, and we are all doing our best with the tools and skills that are available to us. As a therapist, I am privileged to be able to support you in your journey of shaping a life that feels meaningful and authentic to you.
I believe a strong therapist-client fit is essential to a positive therapy experience, and I am eager to explore how therapy could be better catered to what could be helpful for you. I strive for therapy to be a space that promotes wholeness, safety, belonging, and acceptance of our different identities and complexities.
I completed my schooling in neuroscience at University of Guelph, and attained my master’s in Counselling Psychology at University of Ottawa. I have a background in trauma work, specifically with youth and survivors of abuse. I pull from my own experience of moving to Canada to address concerns relating to cultural and racial identity. My therapeutic approach is an integration of evidenced-based approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as narrative therapy and existential therapy. My priority lies in finding an approach (or combination of approaches!) that work for you.
